Simplicity and flexibility

When planning a process or a system, we should take also the following two aspects into consideration: simplicity and flexibility.
A simple system’s planning is simpler in most cases and it needs a simpler control while running. Furthermore to make changes in a simple system is also much easier.
A flexible system can be changed easily which comes from definition so the costs of change are low. In a frequently changing environment a flexible system has even more chance for development which ensures its survival.
Based on the above statements simple and flexible systems can be set up easier, run cheaper, survive easier, reacts faster and in some cases even better.
So invest in simplicity and flexibility to benefit from their advantages.
